Advanced Graphic Design Certificate Program: For more than a dozen years, I've taught as a contract instructor at Emory University Continuing Education in the Web Design, Graphic Design and Digital Marketing programs. As instructor, I developed all my own curriculum, as well as project assignments, tutorials, exams, resource materials, handouts and syllabi for more than 22 courses. I founded the Graphic Design Certificate at ECE. Courses I've taught in the area of graphic design: - Foundations of Graphic Design and Production - Indesign 1: Introduction - Indesign 1: Intermediate - Photoshop 1: Introduction - Photoshop 1: Intermediate - Photoshop 1: Advanced - Illustrator 1: Introduction - Illustrator 1: Intermediate - Directed studies in color theory; typography; advertising design; publications and ebooks; and information design - Advanced Graphic Design: Theory and Practice - Graphic Design Capstone In the Advanced Graphic Design Capstone, students who have completed the Graphic Design Fundamentals and Advanced tracks work on a 12-week project to develop a real-world client brand with a graphic style manual, then advertising and direct-mail campaigns. Then they develop their portfolio on their project. After successfully passing the Capstone, students are awarded the Advanced Graphic Design Certificate.
