wb pilot "young americans" - location agent, decatur
SEPTEMBER 2000 The pilot for the WB's "Dawson's Creek" spin-off, "Young Americans," was partly shot at Agnes Scott College, and I served as Location Agent, representing the college in all pre-production phases including contract negotiation and on set production. Although the series ran for just one season, it helped introduce young actors who would eventually become in high-demand in Hollywood including Kate Bosworth and Ian Somerhalder. As usual, students and community members worked as interns, extras and bit players. And an Agnes Scott student, who happened to be Bosworth 'doppelgänger,' was hired by the talent agent on the project to serve as her body-double. The movie also starred Rodney Scott, Mark Famiglietti, Katherine Moennig and Ed Quinn. (Click on first image for a slideshow to more easily view large images as thumbnails.)
