Real Housewives of Atlanta
This in-mall event was a crowd favorite, featuring three of the housewives (Nene, Sheree, and Lisa) for autograph signing and a Q&A session. A live radio broadcast by immensely popular Atlanta DJ Ryan Cameron on his top-rated afternoon show, WAMJ-FM Majic 107.5/97.5, added to much excitement.
My role included developing interior and exterior signage, print and online ads, and social media content. The life-size, dramatic cut-outs of two of the housewives (shown above and below) were a major hit with both the featured entertainers and the audience.

Signage and advertising
For ongoing marketing outside the high-volume shopping times of the year, I developed monthly interior and exterior signage, print and online ads, and social media posts. Here are some samples of these always-on monthly marketing activities.
Leasing and information signage
Serving one of the most affluent African-American communities in the country, this mall required general information and leasing signage throughout the year. One particularly collaborative project involved creating reusable leasing signage for different open spaces in the mall.
This project featured a large window cling that illustrated the process from an empty space through a grand opening. A movable red checkmark added an engaging element to the design, making the otherwise staid leasing signage more interesting.
Marketing for key shopping days
The major shopping times of the year include Easter, back-to-school, Halloween, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the December holiday season. I developed a variety of materials for these high-volume shopping days, including signage, advertising, and social media content.
The December holidays, the busiest shopping time of the year, were particularly significant. My marketing plan began with Santa's arrival before Thanksgiving and continued with activities from Black Friday and Cyber Monday through Christmas and New Year. Santa was key, especially for a mall serving one of the most affluent African American communities in the country. The Gallery always hired a naturally-bearded African American Santa who maintains his Santa size year-round for this annual role. These remarkable individuals are a rarity in the national Santa community, so securing such a contract required at least a year of advance planning. The project involved a photography shoot by another Atlanta photographer, whom I enjoyed coordinating with on this festive project. Here are examples of the signage, advertising, and social media content used during this period.
